Disc 1 is made up of 3 little mixes, of which the third is far and away the best. The first 3 tracks are fine but then the rot sets in with 4. Holdin' On, 5. Only You, 6. Power Within. Holdin' On isn't too bad, though the singer isn't up to much. The next two are just appalling - whiny vocals emoting the direst, most banal bilge I've heard. Joey Riot can't write lyrics, so why make the vocals so prominent? Things pick up a bit eventually, though the 2nd little mix is also fairly uninteresting, with more lyric drivel, but Swept Away actually works (distort and bury the vocals and no-one's going to mind), and I still Believe is a nice little stompy thing. Disc 2 is great, fortunately - Fracus, Darwin & Jakazid use other people's stuff as well as their own, so there's more variation and just greater overall quality. So some good tracks on Disc 1 but very uneven with some real stinkers - Disc 2 far better.
