When this album came out I had it in my walkman until the tape wore out and snapped. It's probably one of my all time fave's, from the kooky, groovy sound of IFO to the mellow, sexy riffs In 'I had a dream...' it's simply a great, feel good record - go out, buy it and enjoy!

The early 90s was a great time for music and Deee-Lite made a deelightful contribution with their mix of infectious styles. The guest musicians on Infinity Within include the P-Funk master Bootsy Collins and Maceo Parker. Infinity contains some of the magic of the earlier mega selling album but some tracks, like the ballad I Won't Give Up, sound like fillers and others are just too preachy.

Their trademark polyrhythms and quirky synth embellishments charm the listener, especially on songs like Identified Flying Object, Heart Be Still and Rubber Lover. The mid-tempo track Runaway offers an appealing type of R&B whilst Heart Be Still has a buoyant funky flavor. I love the intricate arrangement and vocals of Two Clouds Above Nine and contrary to the title, Electric Shock has a mellow, dreamy feel.

Thank You Everyday with its 1970s Disco feel is another stand-out track but the highlight of the album is Pussycat Meow, a catchy and hilarious little ditty that's worth the price of the album. This witty song about a kittie is truly inspired; every cat lover ought to have Infinity Within in their collection to be amused over and over again.
