To my aging ears this new band (to me) owes lot to the likes of Green Day and Alkaline Trio with a distinct American version of punk. There is a definite melodic element to what they produce as well which is more pleasing to me than a lot of the "shouty" stuff that's out there (showing my age again!)
What these boys produce on this album is a set of fine songs which tell stories with energy and spirit. This means my 12 year old son (AC/DC, Metallica, Green day and Bon Jovi(!) fan) loves this album as indeed do I. Given the breaks they deserve to be succesful.
