Unfortunately recorded after the sad death of Chris Wood this is still outstanding footage capturing the Traffic live experience. Unfortunately the film element, camera work, and editing is not up to the quality of the music but this is made up for by musicianship and magic of Steve Winwood and the late Jim Capaldi still at their best.

I could have enjoyed a little more of Winwood on the Hammond B3, (especially on The Low Spark instead of Randle Bramley's slightly overblow sax solo) and would have loved to see them do more of the great Traffic songs like Many a Mile to Freedom, Freedom Rider, Sea of Joy etc rather than the sub standard Jerry Garcia led Dear Mr Fantasy or the now done to death Gimme Some Lovin. However the other 9 tracks are all fabulous, this is a great Traffic line up with superb rhythm section and gifted front men beside Winwood and Capaldi and it does somehow capture something of what it was like to be lucky enough to see Traffic live, one of the absolutely outstanding creative and thrilling live performers of the era.

I was very disappointed when this DVD arrived.
It is in fact a cd version of the concert in audio and the DVD disc has the same concert but only in audio not in vision , there is also with an interview with Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi. I thought the DVD would be a the concert to watch , but it only audio. Very disapointed.
If you want to SEE the Concert don`t buy this version

Let me start by saying I am a great Traffic / Steve Winwood/ Jim Capaldi fan having bought all the albums when they originally appeared ( even to the extent of buying Ginger Baker's Airforce). I believe Winwood could sing the phone book and make it sound good.
However,....you knew it was coming, but this is a real mishmash of an album.
Where do I start.
How about 1 The DVD is audio only as far as the concert is concerned with interview footage.
2 The DVD is backed with disc one although the sleeve says disc two
3 The tracks are listed on cd 1 but play it and you get cd 2
4 Glad is faded out after 7 mins
I find myself wondering how any record company can treat such an influential band in this manner , then I remember that quality control went out the window in general years ago.
How come the four stars? Well the show is actualy excellent with Winwood in fine voice and the band really cooking!! Low Spark is tremendous and tracks like Pearly Queen and Medicated Goo bring back so many ggod memories.
Also the footage you do get on the DVD, a 20 min interview with Capaldi and Winwood is quite interesting. However at 84mins for the audio cd's there was more than enough room for the full Glad and incidentally the three tracks included as a bonus on the DVD concert film. Do I detect someone trying to squeeze a buck!!
As I say I don't know quite frankly if this warrants the cost and wish I had bought the cd and concert dvd seperately , which I thought I was getting here in one package. So the four stars due to the shoddy packaging and info and if I was doing them seperately it would be 1 star for the package 5 stars for the music.

Have only listened and watched the DVD film performance which is superb. A must buy for all Traffic and music fans. What an effort has gone into the making of this. Truly wonderful.

It's a must have album if you're a fan of Traffic, but to the casual listener or someone new to Traffic this is not the album for you as it does not capture the brilliance of one of the greatest rock bands.
