Same manufacturing fault for years
on 2 March 2017
For years now, these blue cables have been manufactured and labelled incorrectly. You'd reasonably expect for the right-channel to go to the red plug, and the left-channel to go to the black plug. It's an industry standard that sadly, the manufacturers don't seem to be interested in.
I noticed this when I bought one of these about 5 years ago. You'd think in those 5 years, they'd have noticed the issue, and sorted out what is obviously an easy fix. But this one I bought recently has the exact same problem. This time of course, I knew to look out for it, spotted it and switched the plugs to the "wrong" way around so that I didn't have to inadvertently install it with the stereo the wrong way around.
That aside, they are well made, solid cables with metal plugs for not much more than the inferior moulded plastic ones that don't last anything like as long.
