Godsend for LOWER back issues and herniated discs
on 19 August 2015
This was purchased on a lightning deal, but at full price it's a deal and it's not easy to find this size unless you go somewhere like Boots or a chemist
I’ve had a herniated disc for 10 months now, and while my back’s considerably better than it was 9 months ago (when I was chewing on Diazepam and Valtran daily) I still have days where I have considerable pain.
*Smaller patches are No Good for lower back*
I’ve always had issues with my shoulders and back for over 15 years, and usually buy the standard square deep heat patches (these are the best for my upper back), however for the lower back they are slightly small, and if you have a Disc issue where you need to have relief in the centre of the back, the smaller patches tend to come loose due to the small of your back and the movement when you walk and sweat etc. This size is AMAZING and PERFECT for lower back issues as it grips and stays in place longer.
*For SHOULDER/UPPER BACK issues I would recommend the smaller deep heat patches. These can be purchased from places like Tesco and are frequently on Multibuy (3 for 2)
If I am traveling or driving for really long durations (2+ hours), I put one of these bad boys on before we leave and it really does help. They can heat up quite a lot, and sometimes you feel bursts of heat. They do not recommend wearing these over long periods, but I’ve even worn one for 10 hours and didn’t have the slightest heat irritation or rash from it. I would only recommend these for going out, as I still think it’s better to apply a hot water bottle directly if you can. I only keep these for outdoor use where it can give discreet relief.
NOTE – It might seem a stupid thing to say, but if it’s a hot day expect to sweat a lot as these will really heat your torso!
