We love "War on Terror" so I will enthusiastically pick up anything from Terrorbull Games. I got this as a Christmas gift for my wife, who is also a W.O.T. fan. We played a few hands of this on Christmas night with her parents and it took a while before we figured out how to play it properly. The instructions are vague, whether or not this is on purpose is unclear to me, although fundamental points of the game were ambiguous; for a good portion of the first game we were unsure whether your lending should be placed on your own workforce or on other peoples. The fact that it is a loan suggests that it should go to other people and it took us a while to figure this out. In comparison to W.O.T., where you get 2 rule booklets which concisely describe every facet of the game, we felt this took away from the game a little.

I know that the game is about being devious and underhand and bending the deliberately vague rules to suit your own ends, but some of the game's fundamental points could've done with being better explained. Especially when you are trying to explain them to your mother in law who has had one too many sherries.

This is a mixed review - First off, I thought this game was brilliant. I love the general idea of it and did have a good time whilst playing. Mr partner on the other hand felt that the lack of rules (the ones provided are more guidelines) impeded his enjoyment of the game. Many of the rules direct you towards a "win by any means possible" philosophy, so it's perfect if like me you enjoy the creativity that brings, but if you prefer to have set and complete rules so that everyone is on a level playing field you may find the game less enjoyable.

i've been working in finance for more than 5 years now and this game is total fun. even people without any financial background started behaving totally different after 2-3 turns .. this is more interesting than monopoly and less expensive than poker but as interesting as these two combined. highly recommended!

very funny, and somewhat actually worked around real life, so entertaining particularly if you work in finance, but the rules are complex and therefore difficult to play in a group unless everybody understands them well.

Awesome game mechanic and the possibility to backstab your friends.

A game that encourages hiding cards, economics and being crafty screams fun :)
