This is an excellent and concise guide to the best and most common features of grep. The size of the book (~A6) means you're more likely to have it out than on a shelf or drawer somewhere
It is considerably more usable than the man pages but falls short of giving examples of the more complex applications of grep; such as combining with awk/sed
O'Reilly have always written Unix technical books well and this one is no exception - if you're looking for a bible, this isn't it, but if you want a very good guide to be a proficient user of grep, this book is highly recommended

A good book and a good size to carry, but if you got access to the internet you don't really need it.
