TOP 500 REVIEWERon 8 August 2009
This is on Blue Note and that tells you that the emphasis is on the Jazz side of things. The album kicks off with "I Wish I Knew How", which is better known as the longtime theme to BBC's Film review program. Its actually written and performed by the brilliant Jazz Pianist Billy Taylor.

Only one other track matches the sheer brilliance of this opening and thats the Mission Impossible theme. Of course that tune was written by another Jazz Pianist (Lalo Schrifin) and still remains one of the best ever TV themes. Theres another classic contained on this CD by Schrifin and thats the theme from Bullit.

So overall this is a great collection of TV and film themes performed by some fine Jazz musicians.
