The Labeques have consistently played with panache, elan and eclat. Hard to resist those French words in describing their work. So it is here. An entertaining album of lollipops that will mainly pick you up, and sometimes soothe. Either way you'll feel better for a few minutes or so in their company. Enjoy!

An excellent performance by Katia and Marielle Labeque, which probably form the best piano duet at present! Also a good collection of plays of famous composers like Gershwin, Stravinsky and Bach. No person that loves classical musique should miss it, although I believe it is easy listening for everyone targeting to broaden his/her territories in music!!

While the playing by the Labeque sisters is as good as ever, the recording levels are far too low. The whole album is incredibly quiet and as for "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" - with the volume on my hi-fi turned up to maximum I could only just hear it. And, no, I am not deaf.
