from the solid foundation laid down in volume 1, this set begins to illustrate the diversity of dub and the many directions taken. again, 2 of the albums within are out of print, making economic sense even considering the price of the 2 that are available. things kick off with the saxophone stylings of tommy mccook, played over rock solid rhythms. unique talent. disc 2 is the aggrovators excellent 'rasta dub', the third shared between the revolutionaries and the aggrovators (5 tracks each versus style). the box is rounded off with a fine niney 'the observer' album. the series as a whole, serves as a course on the history of dub in eight entertaining lessons. i have not bought them in order, but am now able to see the progress thru' the sets. brilliantly realised concept.
