I have had a few samsungs mobiles in the past and found them particularly the slider phones lovely to hold and good menu system. My phone is on the Virgin network and comes in silver and pink, I got the silver on and feel good to hold in the hand. Texting is easy to do but I have noticed if you are a fast texter, it takes the phone 5 seconds to catch up with the words you are typing. It has a memory card slot so can download music files and it a camera, radio and mobile web on board. It has the usual organiser tools like calender, calculator and convertor. I would recommend this phone to women and as a gift to teenagers from anxious parents for two reasons it has (1)something called 'FAKE CALLS', if you at a bus stop or in a night club and wish to ignore a stranger trying to get you into conversaton this facility once activited allow to pretend you speaking to somebody and move away. (2) secondly there is an 'SOS MESSAGES' facility so if you come off the train at the wrong station, lose your way in unfamiliar area or feel your in danger, you PRE-PROGRAME your mobile to 2 -3 family members or friends telephone or mobile numbers, it informes them that on your list. If you feel you are in danger you activate it pressing a designated buttton 4 times and message is sent to chosen friend/family members to phone you back quickly. There is also a mobile tracker facility too. The battery when used heavily runs down, so that why given it 4 stars. But it worth considering in general it's great phone but these features maybe useful.
A good phone spoilt by a rubbish battery, goes flat while playing one song, did get a little better after I charged the phone for 24 hours, but still went completely flat in less than a day and I had it turned off for half the day. Every time you touch a key the phone bleeps which gets very annoying after a while, I found no way to cancel this feature.
