Ooof and Corgh. Has there ever been a greater songwriter and singer not to mention red hot sex symbol, as John Shuttleworth?
Another fabulous album, from the man who has raised the tan leather jacket and vibrant polo neck to iconic fashion status. Teamed with a lovely pair of beige slacks, this is a god of a man and he is good at DIY!!
OK enough of his devastating style and looks, here is my review of THE DOLBY DECADES.
This is am amazing collection of tracks. Songs to make you think (Life is like a Salad Bar, God's Waiting Room) some really beautiful melodies (Graham Fellowes is a truly great songwriter) and some dance tracks that have me dancing around the kitchen. Serial Cereal Eater and I don't want to Dance with the late Richard Whitely.
As usual Mary and Ken provide some terrific harmonies. Also John has brought Joan Chitty in on a couple of tracks. Look out for Unaccompanied Lady which finds John in a wistful mood when remembering an attractive lady he once saw in a bar. This has a medieval vibe going on.
I love John Shuttleworth. He has stood the test of time. He is funny, clever, philosophical and most importantly never ever crude.
John/Graham can't wait for your next collection.
