This album is heavier than an industrial cement mixer-
As part of the 'Deathcore' genre that i take with a pinch of salt, this band stands out to a degree with their almost entirely own sound.
Very tight blast beats are quickly contrasted with discordant breakdowns, reminiscent of the acacia strain and emmure's recent work.Gutteral vocals with some range are present but the real trick is the eerie guitar sounds they create which sounds atmospheric to say the least. For once in metal, the sound of this album more than lives up to the concept depicted on the album cover.
The DVD that comes with the album is fairly short and not very specific to anything although i did learn that the vocalist looks like Danny Glover. For a more interesting watch i suggest you check out the bands video for 'District of Misery'.This is one of the real stand out tracks on the album and displays the flawless brutality that they are capable of.
A must but for anyone looking for something that is so heavy that it will form you into a bit of furniture.
