What a beautiful voice. Simone Kermes effortlessly moves her voice through the tonal tournures of Händel without ever losing strenght, but also without sliding off to exaggeration or colouration as many baroque singers do. The pieces are selected from various Händel operas and performed and recorded with German perfection. The only weakness is the CD - the medium noticeably falls short in reproducing the dynamism and warmth of Kermes' voice. Please bring out this recording on vinyl!
