I bought this on double vinyl in 1977 and have just found it on CD and realise that this is the second best live album of all time. It is music perfection and with versions of Pick up the Pieces and Cut the Cake which are nothing short of brilliant. It's a forty year old concert which sounds a) like most things do better on CD than vinyl (my humble opinion) and b) better than ever. It will once again become a regular in the car - it used to be on a TDK cassette.

Only Seconds Out by Genesis tops this and if you haven't got Person to Person - GET IT!

Having already purchased CD re-issues of both albums to replace the vinyl I'd bought when they were first released, this is the last of this years repackaged issues that I needed to buy. Why? For one extra live bonus track 'I'm Gonna Make You Love Me'. However, the artwork and notes are top notch. It is obvious that the whole series has been put together with a degree of affection. Now EDSEL should commission the same team do a collection of all the 12" mixes & re-mixes with 7" odds'n'ends that don't appear elsewhere plus the live at Montreux tracks, perfect!

Yea a couple of great awb albums (especially person to person) but the edsel versions ( & their whole series) are very poor sound recordings. Check out sony bmg / rhino which have far superior cd sound remastering versions.
