I have come late to The White Stripes. This album is sublime rock music. Deceptively simple tracks with catchy baselines; the opening track is what brought me to the album, but there is plenty there to keep me interested; I like the fact that most of the songs are quite short- I feel that many bands over-embellish tracks and string them out; the Stripes pack it into three minutes and move on to hit you between the ears with the next track.

I only with I had discovered The White Stripes sooner, before they broke up. Great Album, and one that will stay on my music player for a long time.

Someone kindly borrowed my CD and never returned it! So downloaded Mp3 version : The anthem Seven nation army wonderful but by far the best track showing Jack White at his best Ball and Biscuit - a nice mix of acoustic tracks as well . Brilliant
