The entire collection of Haydn Piano Sonatas on Naxos played by Jandò is magnificent. The playing is fresh, clear and joyful. The sound of the piano sounds like a Piano-forte piano in the early sonatas and a modern piano piano in the later ones. I keep coming back to these performaces. They are filled with great intelligence, and wit and love. Haydn's writing is truly remarkable in several of them. The irregularity of the sonata form is most significant in a few. Jandò does these works a great service. Highly recommended above higher priced editions.
