At 59 her figure puts me to shame! Ahem, that being said this is an excellent workout.

You need very little space or equipment, light hand weights, a towel and chair or something to rest your arms on for balance.

The workouts themselves are very much similar to what you will find on The Barre Workout / Exhale / Fusion dvd, in so much there is some Callentics, Lotte Berk, ballet type exercises. The thing is they really do work to tighten on tone your body.

Think slow, controlled, precise movements that work the muscle deeply.

If you like leaping about for your workout you'd better look eleswhere.

A good addition to my regular routine and Kathy comes across as encouraging and warm rather than creepy like the Lotte Berk Stepford women!

Absolutely my best toningdvd!!!

First time I tried it, I couldn't believe that I got beaten by a 57 year old lady!!

Kathy gives you a hard and effective 65 minute toning program. She gives good instructions during the execises, and you can feel the muscles burn do to the many variations and repetitions.

The workout consists of 5 sections: warmup, arms and upper body, thighs, bum, abs and cooldown.
There is a nice little extra feature if you want to customise your workout: You can add the different sections seperately and thereby create you personal workout program.

Worth buying!

I have several Kathy Smith dvd's and all of them are worth buying. She is a professional in her area of toning and exercise. Total Body Lift is a dvd that is easy to follow, she gives clear instructions and the only props needed are a chair and some light weights or water bottles . Very little space is needed and the workouts can be broken up into segments . The workouts can be as long or as short as suits you.
Also the exercises themselves are targeted and require effort, but she has managed to get a full workout done without having to buy weights or special equipment. Very good dvd for at home toning with results.

As all exercises you need to be constant to see the benefit.
I am a big fun of Kathy Smith - for over 10 years I have been doing exercises following up her videos. She is good and I would recommend her videos, this one is definitely one of my favourites, It is quite complete and you can chose from 10 minutes to 50 minutes exercises and you can chose /set up if you wish to do the whole program or you wish to concentrate in the legs, abs.... and chose the exercises accordingly.

I've got the whole repertoire of fitness DVDs, from Billy Blanks to Jillian and Rodney Yee and I must say that this is excellent. No there isn't any wild jumping up and down but my goodness do you feel your muscles working! You need to concentrate quite hard to ensure that you are doing the moves properly but I wouldn't say that this is a disadvantage.

If you want high octane - look elsewhere. If you want a rather unexpected fitness challenge, give Kathy Smith a try!

This is an unmissable bargain at just £[]. The workout has increased my tone and definition in just 10 days - the muscles are so defined that I cannot believe that I'm using a mere 1.5kg weight. And that's the beauty of this workout - there is scope for progression. Kathy's laid back presenting style make this workout a breeze too - it's almost like having a dream personal trainer in your living room. Could be the best £[] you spend all year.

I was looking for a work out to tone specific areas and this definitely does the job.

You can choose what area or areas you wish to tone on a particular day and customise your workout. The small movements are effective as you can feel the muscles working.

Kathy is very good at explaining each movement, and I did not find any of the exercises too complicated.

Kathy Smith's workout is really good, I consider myself relatively fit however this dvd put me through a couple of paces that tested a muscle or two!
This DVD is easy enough to follow, allows you to break a sweat or two and progress to a higher standard should you choose.

I would definitely recommend.

This is a great workout DVD!!! Its long, hard but completely worth it, and at a great price!!! Every section is well do, with an easy and advance method shown. The warm-up is great, the arm workout is tough but boy can you see a difference after a few weeks!! I love how she uses a towel and object found in the home to help with the workout, showing that it can be done anywhere!! Its a challenging workout that will help you tone and strengthen you body. Its absolutely fantastic!!!
