Some songs turn out in time to become more than just a hit single and 'Poison Arrow' is one of those songs.

From the excellent, 'The Lexicon Of Love' album, 'Poison Arrow' is one of the first songs from the 1980's you think of when remembering the days of the New Romantic Movement, Record Shops, white socks, big haircuts and the days when the charts meant a lot to everyone.

'White Boy Soul', the song has all of the atypical early 80's qualities I so fondly remember. Its quirky, funky, catchy, sparklingly clearly produced and memorable. Now, how many modern day hits can that be said of?

All in all, 'Poison Arrow' is truly an era defining classic.

1982, with a meaningful track from ABC's excellent The Lexicon of Love.

'....Who broke my heart, you did, you did
Bow to the target, blame Cupid
You think you're smart, that's stupid
Right from the start when you knew we would part

Shoot that poison arrow to my heart
Shoot that poison arrow
Shoot that poison arrow to my heart, heart, heart....
Shoot that poison arrow

Heart, shoot that poison arrow
Shoot that poison arrow.....'

Check this one out, from the same album.
