Great paints but the rest.....meh.
on 31 March 2017
Well what can I say....
Paints: the pigments are great and they are perfect for a beginner like myself, getting used to how the paint feels on the brush and how much to use. The paint, once applied gives great vibrant colours which is just what I need for the type of pictures I paint. The paints are worth the £10 alone, very pleased with the paint and the selection of colours.
Brushes: sadly the brushes are pretty useless (well for me anyway) the bristles are plastic and are not very easy to control on the paper. I would suggest investing in some really good quality brushes to go along with this set.
Other bits: A decent HB pencil - always handy and a good eraser. There's also a palette knife type tool, not sure that i'll use it but you never know. The watercolour pad was a nice little bonus too.
Overall: like I say I think the paints with the kit are worth the £10 price tag but the rest will probably not get used so much.
