The only band that were bestowed the honour of John Peel asking them to write a bluesy boogie type song for his birthday in the early 1970's which he christened Ravenscroft's 13 Bar Boogie.

John Peel encouraged The Way We Live / Tractor to build their own recording studios- he bought them tape recorders, microphones, a mixing desk, a PA system and so not only did they record the tracks on this album with that equipment they even started the Deeply Vale Festivals with the PA system. they did stages for Rock Against Racism, Campaign Against Cruise Missiles and touring PA's for Motorhead, The Lurkers and The Adverts- just a bunch of musicians and friends from Rochdale and Heywood

Buy this album the music is great andit comes with postcards and two really detailed booklets in with the cd

Bought for hubby his type of music he can blast at his leisure. I do not have to listen to it on cd like when he playes his vinyls. Will look to replace all his records.
