Hallo, I' m eine andere Zeitverschwendung. You may remember, how you say, encountering my Englische cousin "Collections" earlier this year. Well, over here im Deutschland, my somewhat misleading name hides another pointless record. Ja, if you've already filled your shelves with album like said "Collections" or "Under The Gun" or any other compilation of the RCA material (because that's what this is), have no need of this album.
You may think from the title that this is some kind of rare German release of sixties music from the legendary Hamburg club that played host to the world famoue beat combos, the Beatles, the Cream and the Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, but no. This is no top secret Mark 1 live performance, just the same old retreads of 'Knocking At Your Back Door', 'Perfect Strangers' and Gott mit Ihnen, 'Bad Attitude'. There is keinen Raum for Joe Lynn Turner, though, it's all Herr Gillan.
Of course, they sneak in the usual live versions of 'Black Night', 'Child In Time' and 'Smoke On The Water' to fool the unwary, but there aren't even any liner notes to help pass the time as you wait / wish that 'Dead Or Alive' would come to an end. This is actually part of a German branding exercise that punts out compilations of Status Quo, Uriah Heep and Grace Jones, amongst others, for no reason beyond putting a few coppers in the Bank of Universal Music. Avoid.
