This pack contains three lenses for your Lensbaby Composer: single glass, plastic, and pinhole/zone-plate.
I felt the results from the single glass optic were only subtlely different from the double glass optic you get with the Composer. Maybe a tad less sharp, but that's all.
The plastic lens really gives everything a soft, surreal, retro look (over and above the weird effects of the Composer). It's my favourite in the kit, and if you turn up the saturation and contrast on your photos you'll get some really warm, colourful results.
The pinhole gives a flat, low-contrast, rather other-worldly image. Completely unlike anything else you'll get with a DSLR.
Finally the zone-plate switch on the pinhole will turn your photos into massively soft-focus, wondrously blurred images. The most dramatic of all 'lenses' in the kit, and maybe not something you'll use a lot. But interesting nonetheless.
I'd definitely recommend getting this pack if you're already happy using a Composer and want to play some more!
The lenses are solid and a fantastic creative kit allowing you to experiment ...
BUT... There are no apertures with this so if you buy with the Scout and Fisheye or the Composer Pro and Sweet 35 then you'll have to buy the apertures as extra [to get f2.8 to f4 with the former or anything smaller than f2 with the latter].
ALSO... There is no lens cap with any of these so I would recommend ordering at least one with this kit. When focusing the lens goes beneath the front of the lens body so standard 3rd party 37mm to 52mm filter adaptor will NOT fit - you will have to get Lensbaby's specific part.
I like this kit bit I'm disappointed Lensbaby didn't include an aperture kit or lens cap. To be fair they don't say these things are included in the item description so I can't complain too much... Happy snapping :)
