Ashes are Burning and A Song for all Seasons are my favourite Renaissance cd's. to hear Carpet of the Sun (Ashes are Burning)plus Northern Lights and Day of the Dreamer (A Song for all Seasons) live is amazing. The other tracks on this live disc Midas Man, Can you hear me and Things I don't understand complete a fine listening experience.

If you only listen to the final track," Thinking about things I don`t understand" it is well worth it, absolutely fantastic performance.

TIDU is an astounding piece of work- all angles/instruments are covered expertly, also giving Annie an enhanced vocalese workout in which she gets to show her stuff-McCarty was probably the added element that makes this a masterwork
(Dunford, McCarty, Thatcher)- ive read even though its is normally credited as Dunford MCarty
BUT THEY LEFT OFF A VERSE!!!
"It seems theres plans for everyone the day will come.......everyone brothers, one great flow"

& the gregorian chant part
First song I heard on FM

TURN OF THE CARDS & SCHEHEREZADE SHOULD BE ON SACD-the 2 albums are the apex of their careeres

A bootleg quality recording of Renaissance at rather less than their best. Doesn't stack up against 'Live at Carnegie Hall' but it was cheap enough and I'm glad I bought it, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but die hard fans!
