Doesn't keep persistent other cats out
on 9 November 2012
We had one of these for years with no problem but recently a persistent neighbours cat has been forcing its way in (without a magnet) and eating all our cats food.
Thinking the problem was the age of the old catflap we bought a new one so imagine our disappointment when within a few hours of installing the neighbours cat has once again forced the door open and got into our kitchen.
This cat flap may put off the casual cat intruder but if you have a cat willing to push hard against it for a few seconds the door burst over the stopper and the cat can get in. We therefore are now going to have to lock and unlock the door as required making the magnet part of this flap (which costs more) pointless!
This has been a waste of money for us (also the replacement magnets are surprisingly expensive!).
If you want to keep out other cats then this is not the cat flap for you!
