While the content is excellent the total lack of images and illustrations renders the book pretty much useless. A real shame.

This is a remarkable book. Not only has the author well researched his material, but the detail he has included, is truly amazing.
This book traces the whole of the Apollo space programme mainly from 'behind the scenes' There are details of nearly every meeting of the multitude of committees and sub-committees involved, and with named personnel who attended.
This is heavy going for the reader, and it needs a bit of endurance to keep going, but for anyone wanting to know EVERYTHING about how the success of Apollo was achieved - this is the book to read.

The tale told in this book is a fascinating slice of modern history but the book itself in kindle form disappoints. The physical book contains copious amounts of illustrations and photographs which are missing from the kindle edition also the notations in the physical edition are haphazardly placed in the kindle edition. Do yourself a favour and buy the physical form of this book or one of the many other kindle titles available which tell of the same events.

If you want to know How we got to the Moon from President Kennedy's Speech Through to Gene Cernan's last Steps on the Moon, then this is an Essential read for you. Be Warned though it does go through a lot of the Politics and Committee Stuff, but once you get through that stuff it is an Entertaining Read. There are credits for Pictures and Documents which did not show up on my Kindle, I don't know if this is deliberate or not?

Quite interesting but the colossal amount of 'endnotes' at the end of every chapter
is quite irritating after a while especially when it runs into 6 pages in Kindle format. Apart from that an interesting read

Dissapointing. All of the illustrations have been removed. What was a magnificent account of managing Apollo is a mere skeleton of text.
