Many photo-illustrated books appeared in the early 1970s, during a period of legal relaxation, and the spanking genre was well represented by several publishers. Janus probably led the field, but this example is a good candidate for any competition to find a back-marker. The short story around which the book is constructed is lightweight and inconsequential, and the 'over 120' monochrome photographs that accompany it, although the subjects are two luscious lovelies, don't really carry the story to a much higher standard. The story is marginally erotic, and the teacher/pupil focus that it contains is barely developed. The images, although quite stylish, and provided in quantity, having mostly an interestingly close viewpoint, neither illustrate the story nor provide an alternative. The use of a badminton racquet seems particularly ineffectual in the spanking context. An interesting volume in the sense of illustrating the sort of material that was issued within the genre at that time, but only poorly satisfying the erotic criterion.
