This is a pretty toy, but I had reservations about the wooden beads dangling on the wheels. They make a lovely clattering sound, but are just the sort of thing a baby could choke on if they came loose. My grandson loved this toy the most out of all his first birthday presents - he played with it for most of the day and it was the first thing he looked for when he woke up.
We never took our eyes off him though, and when he bit a wooden bead and damaged it, we removed it at once. Then the stick was broken in an awkward tumble. We tried to fix it, but without the protective ball on the end, there was a danger he'd hurt himself if he fell again. So this toy is now hidden away and will probably end up in the bin - it's lovely but just not strong enough for a clumsy toddler to play with. However, I doubt that an older child would want it.
