OK, this shares little with the original Romero story (as far as I recall the film), but all the same, it was a totally enjoyable zombie movie. The exact trigger mechanism for the zombie virus was a little baffling (perhaps I just misunderstood it).

Not a keen fan of fast moving zombies, and these even ended up having Spider-man like powers as well, making for 'no chance mankind will survive this one' scenario. Still, enjoyed it. A good cast, especially Mena Suvari.

A few extras, though hardly much to write home about.

Fairly basic formula of virus turns people into zombies, army must take care of it,but i thought it was far better than i was lead to believe.
I like the idea of zombies that don't stumble about and yet still catch their chased victims,in this they actually run and jump and have a lot of energy, doing things humans can't,so i guess the virus can't be all bad.
It's not the best zombie film you're going to see if you seriously look for top ones, but it does it's job,it entertains.
It certaiinly has moments of gore and the acting is pretty good for the most part,i liked the end too.
Here you have a fun zombie film with some great ideas,in my opinion anyway.

I agree that this film is not great, but it's not as stupid as many of the zombie films I've seen. Plus, it offers a different slant on the subject by having faster zombies that are harder to get away from, rather than the usual slow ones that you can stroll through and just push out of the way. Also, I think Mena Suvari does a good job with her role.
Overall, not really scary, but I found it quite entertaining.

If this is a retake rather than a remake as some other reviewers have suggested then please find a new title and leave the old film classics alone. I getting really tired of substandard re releases/remakes/retakes like this. Romero's Day of The Dead is a film that deserves a really good revisit. This 2008 attempt just isn't any good.

Not as bad as some have said, but definitely not a remake ... the only connection with the original is that they both feature zombies...so why not call it something different? Anyway, if you like zombie movies you should find this one tolerable, and if you don't, what are you doing reading this review? The best zombie movie ever made was Dawn of the Dead (the remake) and the second best was the original Dawn of the Dead .. this one is definitely not in the same league.

I love zombie films but this is shockingly bad!! Has zombies that crawl on walls like Spider-Man and not in a good way!

Seen this film on horror channel so I thought I would buy it. For those who liked 28 days later and 28 weeks Later you will enjoy watching this.

Love zombie flicks but this rendition was silly.
Wouldn't recommend, 2 hours of your life you will never get back.
