Worse than cheap Tom-Tom
on 9 February 2009
I bought this when my 4-yr-old Tom Tom was stolen, and I thought my wife's cheap Tom-Tom was too basic.
Well, I've been frustrated & infuriated in turn. Why? Firstly, there's no User Manual (!) only just a get-you-started sheet in x million languages. It took me ages to get it set up in a basic form. On my roads, South London & Surrey, the speed limit advice is wrong 80% of the time - had I obeyed these I'd have lost my licence every couple of days - and some of the routes it chooses are strange, perhaps driven by the incorrect speed limit advice. I've just spent 3 hours trying to get map updates. Plugging in the unit results in my pc crashing, repeated every 15 minutes. I can't register my device as the information requested is just not available on my unit, box or leaflet. Then my discount voucher is rejected. Grrrr. Awaiting a response from Navigon.........
