A real jewel of a film. Not one moment of it fails to please nor does the cast. Sophie Quinton lights up the screen and your heart. Can't imagine anyone not being completely charmed by the quiet, gentle magic of this film so I am amazed to read that it was not released. Can this be so? The script, the direction and, as stated earlier the acting are flawless. And the cinematography is truly gorgeous. You cannot see Avril standing on the beach, seeing the sea for the first time, and not smell the air, feel the breeze and the wonder of it yourself. Buy it, watch it and you will smile, you will laugh, you will weep, and you will fall in love with life all over again. Superb from start to its glorious end.

This was a very realistic film about the life of a nun who wasn't sure if the church was the life for her. It all unravels when she meets the brother she never knew she had. Not wanting to spoil the ending for you, I suggest you watch it for yourself and you wont be disappointed!

I can't really improve on what a previous reviewer ( A. Agalbato "film fanatic" ) has already written. Watched this twice since buying it last week..just a beautiful, sensitively made film. I could easily watch it twice again this week and still come away feeling in love with all the leading characters but especially the sweet and lovely Avril and the Camargue where most of it is set. Great film. A***********

A beautiful film, superbly acted, and for once, the gay theme was handled with sensitivity, and a degree of restraint.

All the young actors were first-rate, but Miou-Miou was a revelation, a fine example of an actress who is not afraid to tackle a difficult role.

Unusual spot. The young girl seems determined to become a nun. However, we soon learn that she almost born in the convent. What should she discover in the suggested quest for her twin brother?
