When i first heard about playarts releasing the original FF7 figures, I was excited. After all, FF7 on the ps1 kicked advent children in the pants, good film or not. So i picked up tifa from my local importer shop and TORE her away from the deep binding of the packet.
First, the good.
she has an awesome mini skirt. it fits tifa perfectly. If you put tifa up to the light you can see through her hair. very awesome. She has a wonderfully large chest. we all remember tifa in the FF7 cutscenes right? Fits her perfectly. She is sturdy. Definitaly wont break.
Now the bad!
her legs are not jointed at the top, this makes her hard to pose. Her hair makes it difficult to turn her head. Putting Tifa in a kicking pose is pretty much impossible.
So the only bad thing is posability issues. But if you love tifa as much as i do, she will quickly become a big part of your collection, you can even put her in the usual battle pose and winning pose (from when she battles enemies). i even like her in figure form more than cloud! O.o'

Lets be honest, if you are an adult and thinking to buy this then it is either for display or for your collection.
At the end of the day this is a toy and if you buy this then you are letting your inner child take control.
If you are a fan of ff7 then...go ahead and buy it - your ff7 fan and your inner child will both take equal pleasure in owning this and sometimes it is good to let your inner child out for some air.
(girlfriends will disapprove though!)
