An excellent "Alt-Bluegrass" album (their self-styled genre) by a sadly underrated US band (located in the UK) fronted by ex-The Long Ryders' Sid Griffin. Think Hayseed Dixie without the covers (apart from Gene Clark's "Silver Raven") and a bit less country. Oh, and they're serious, though there is a lot of fun to be had on this offering. There's also a lot of uplifting melodies, intelligent lyrics, beautiful layered harmonies and some fantastic banjo additions by England's own Matt Woolvett. Well worth £10.98 of anyone's money, even if this genre isn't your normal choice of listening.
A fantastic album, bought this after seeing the band play live in London and it was an amazing night out and this album really captures their brilliance. Treat yourself and be sure to get to a live show if they play in your area....you won't be dissapointed.
