If you have never watched this film...Don't delay. If you have seen it before...What are you waiting for...buy it! Watch it again and again!! It's a classic. It tells of Pride, stupidity, vanity, lonliness, friendship, companionship, hardship and respect. How much more can you take???
It's not fast paced. It doesn't have amazing graphics. It's not modern. But it does have kindness, humility and warmth!
As double whammy Driving Miss Daisy followed by 'Chocolat' is a lovely way to enjoy a 'Duvet Day'.

Film played fine as expected, just surprised it wasn't in a formal case - but that isn't really a problem.

Two absolutely brilliant performances, by Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman define this wonderful film. Dan Ackroyd is excellent as well.

The growing fondness between Miss Daisy and Hoke in this delicious movie make this one that can be watched again and again with a big grin on one's face.

There is also delightful humour aplenty.

As good a film as has ever been made.

Great story with great acting by all of the actors would have given 5 stars but no sub titles on disc

Beautifully acted, this is an absolute gem of a film. The setting is America's deep south where an independent old lady, Miss Daisy, is reluctant to admit to her shortcomings. Miss Daisy's son employs a black chauffeur for his ageing white mother despite his mother's protestations. The interaction between the two principal characters is an absolute joy.

Charming. I recently saw two of my favourite actors perform this play onstage. Angela Lansbury was brilliant as Miss Daisy, as was James Earl Jones as her long-suffering chauffeur. Seeing them inspired me to order the video with two other great actors in the main roles. Dan Aykroyd was also excellent as Miss Daisy's son..

This should be an historical document as it shows how life was for African Americans in the 1930s onwards. It shows the kindness of servants and the attitudes of the employers, which were often insensitive. Such attitudes would not be allowed or tolerated today. A wonderful film.

Highly satisfied with purchase and fast delivery. This film really means a lot to me. Film has a connection with my bestfriend, boyfriend / soulmate, who sadly passed away 04.12.12. He was only 32. Very important to me I got this DVD and happy with the price too. Thank you. :-)

A warm and engaging tale which unfolds deliciously slowly.
Beautifully acted.
We don't often see ageing in American films. Contrast between the deepening bonds of friendship over time with the frailties wrought by age on the human body.

A replacement for my old video and wonderful to watch again. The whole racial issue was delicately handled and also the question of growing old and the initial problem of accepting the fact. Morgan Freedman was excellent as was Jessica Tandy
