Many a time has there been a instance when you have waited so long to see a film, only to be disappointed. This is truly not the case with regards to Tammy. It's timeless charm remains there to be seen by all. The story of a rivergirl thrown in to another world following the arrest of her grandpa because of his like for moonshine continues to exude charm for all to see. Debbie Reynolds performance as the main character is effortless as she moves from rivergirl to woman without losing any of her innocence, passing along her words of wisdom to those around her along the way. Superbly supported by Leslie Neilsen, Mildred Natwick and Walter Brennan this film remains a timeless classic.
The two sequel films attached to this box set are not worth a look in, as neither exude the charm of the original, and without the original stars and a worthwhile story line should not be included.
However, the price paid for these is worthwhile for the main film alone. Don't be put off by the other films attached.
