2 Hearts is what all us Kylie fans have been waiting for. After Kylie's recovery we were all waiting with baited breath for any sign of news of the new album and finally with 2 Hearts, we had it. A swaggering, charming slice of glam-pop-rock, the chorus is just awesome. The 'Wooooh's!' are infectious and are just how this song makes you feel, it's uplifting, and at 2.55 in length, manages to pack a lot of punch into such a short song.
Destined to become a Kylie classic, the video is the icing on the cake, Kylie looking absolutely fabulous as usual, rocking her stuff on top of a piano with a sparkly skull microphone and explosions of glitter. Awesome!
The b-side is also worth a mention. 'I Don't Know What It Is' is a blend of Brit-pop and New Wave and harks back to the sound of Kylie's masterpiece 'Impossible Princess'. One of Kylie's best ever b-sides, even if you aren't a hard-core Kylie fan, it's most definitely worth checking out.
This Single sees Kylie Attempt to Reference Her Contemporaries. Kylie is Unique in Style and Finding Artists Exceptional enough to Warrant Comparison is Extremely Difficult. Marilyn Manson is one such Artist. In Becoming His Female Equivalent Kylie better Demonstrates to the U.S Public in Terms of It's Own Understanding the Cultural Position She Represents for. In other Countries with a Less Extreme Society, Kylie has been more Quickly Understood and Adopted for what She Stands for. This Single is Voiced by One of a Kind Vocals. This Cover Puts to Bed the Issues Raised in the Song and will be the Last Version of This Track.
This was one of the best songs off what wasn't a career best album for Kylie. This is a bit rocky, a bit raunchy, a really good pop song. Kylie's singles of late have been a bit disappointing, but this one should have been a much bigger hit for her.
