Most of this sounds like an album from 1969. Which it is. But this is pretty much the work of a supergroup too.
It is worth buying for the track "Every Mother's Son" alone, a sort of countrified Dylanesque song, but much more than that. It is lovely. A rambling acoustic tale of a guitar player who leaves a girl in a smalltown, goes from rags to riches and returns years later to find her still waiting. But it is more than a great tune. The whole song is punctuated with some fantastic acoustic lead guitar playing by Peter Frampton. Classic.

Early album from Humble Pie. Slower and softer than their later work. And in my honest opinion, much duller. The collector will want this album, of course. The rest of us...well, it's not that bad, so might want to pick it up if you can find it cheap, but don't lose any sleep if you can't find it.

Redolent of late '60s, patchouli-scented, smokey communal bedsits; and none the worse for that. Shares the bucolic yearnings of contemporary works such as Traffic's first 3 albums, Led Zep '3' and Pretty Things' 'Parachute'. This edition comes with bonus tracks.
