Says it shoots MPG4 - errr...not quite..its samsung's own SEDG format and you will struggle to find an editor or even a player that will accept it.

Neither imovie on MAC or windows Movie Maker will play these files as is - you may be able to convert files into another format - but it takes hours.

It's a lot of hassle - and not worth the effort- you are better off buying a different brand as all sumsungs have the same format.

BTW the editing software supplied is rubbish and battery life and low light shooting is poor.

I am thinking of throwing mine in the bin as I would not want to resell and inflict it on anyone.

Prior to buying this cam I had a cheap flash card cam that cost £80 - it was v poor quality but editing and transfer of files was sooo easy and I will go back to that.

Dont waste your money.

Samsung VP-MX10/XEU Flash Memory Camcorder
disappointing - not very good on indoor shots.Outside ok
easy to use.
Already had battery problems after 4 weeks - doesn't charge properly.
would have done better buying something else but was desperate to take some footage instantly.
convenient as it takes cards rather than disc or tapes.
now researching a better product !

It is cheap, lightweight, easily fits in hand but... quality of picture and sound is realy poor. It is quite alright in bright spaces but in dark room u can't shoot proper videos - it's just impossible. Focus is poor as well. Baterry lifetime beign claimed 120 min, but it won't work longer than 70 without charging... I am very dissapointed of it. It is better to spend some more money and have better quality pictures, cause that's what is it all about!

Got this at the weekend.
Good product. fits in the hand nice, light and easy to use.

The max recording resolution is 768 x 576 interlaced or progressive.

takes sd cards upto 8gb with SDHC.

Quality is good but not massivly impressive, but for the price its worth it.
Records to mpeg-4 requires codec to be installed then the videos play straight from windows.

has a 2.7 inch 16:9 screen but only records in 4:3 (very werid).

Not tested battery life but it claims 120mins.

Hope that helps.
