Not bad for the price
on 24 July 2017
These cheapie arrows aren't too bad as it goes, as long as you're just 'messing about' with them rather than practicing for competitive shooting :) The construction quality is reasonable but not fantastic, one of the nocks snapped off after 2 or 3 shots, but the rest have held up okay. The points are hollow and most have become blunt/flat from being fired down a concrete path, I half-intended for that to happen though, for safer shooting in the garden! I've been shooting these from 2 bows - a kids' compound (5lb, bless!), and my first bow (not a pro by any means - just starting out!), a 35lb traditional recurve. With the latter, the plastic vanes have a tendency to kick the arrow off to the left of the target - could probably fix with a stick-on arrow shelf - this has resulted in some of the vanes starting to peel at the front as well, so before you use them, dab some epoxy (or better, proper vane/fletching glue) on there and leave for a few hours to set.
These arrows fly pretty straight, it's not hard to get a decent grouping of 4 or 5 together. If my shots are less than half-decent they like to fishtail, but I've not had anything wildly off-target even with the arrow kick. All in all, these are nice little practice arrows, nothing fancy, but at £11.15 (reduced from £15) at time of writing, that's less than £1 per arrow. Can't go wrong with that!
