A team of scientists have developed a virus which has the ability to kill then reanimate organs in animals but any affects on humans are unknown. They board a plane with the virus but during bad weather containment is breached and the virus infects the plane's passengers.

This is not your ordinary zombie film and does pretty much everything well. Firstly, the action is on a plane which creates great atmosphere as there is no means for easy escape. The Writer/Director of the film was very skillful in providing great introductions to the characters and also explaining why the virus was created, what it was supposed to do and then showing the audience what actually happens. When the mayhem commences there is loads of blood and gore but there is also very clever use of humour, but never crossing the line into complete silliness or camp.

The DVD picture quality is a bit sketchy at times but the audio is pretty good with lots of options available. I selected the Dolby Digital 5.1 option which made good use of the surround channels - most of the action takes place in a storm and there is constant thunder which comes from all areas of the sound stage.

If you like zombie movies but have been disappointed, definitely try this one out.

For Lovers of Zombie movies... if you love the Zombie genre as much as I do then you will be sure to love this film.

Flight of the Living Dead is an inspired idea, zombies on a plane...

The zombies are fast and reminisant of the ones in Quarantine (Rec).

I have seen a lot of zombie movies over the years from the earliest (White Zombie, Night of the Living Dead etc.) through the dodgy 70's and 80's (Zombie Flesh eaters & Return of the living dead) into the 90's and 00's right up to the current stock (Quarantine & Dance of the Dead) This movie wouldn't make it into the top ten WORST zombie movies.

But it did make it into my 'got to buy' list

If you ever wondered whilst watching Snakes on a Plane how cool it could be to have zombies on a plane well here is that film.

It isn't to be taken too seriously but its alot better than you can imagine. The plot is obvious with a zombie being transported back in the cargo of a plane breaks lose and starts eating people.

I did find it odd that apart from Kevin O'Connor who plays literally the same character as in Deep Rising, most of the more interesting characters are killed off leaving us with the very bland Megan the air stewardess, Paul the undercover cop, the celebrity golfer and his wife. This is when the film starts to get a little boring.

I would rather have had some of the teens, the pilots or the other 2 air strewards survive as they were more interesting characters!!

THere are a good few deaths including the umbrella scene and Emily getting smacked in the head by a golf club and then theres the poor asian zombie thats strapped into his seat unable to get a bite!

There are two commentaries on the disc from the producers and editors, and some outtakes which were about as funny as having teeth pulled (steer clear!).

An enjoyable, fun, silly film worth watching.

I bought this on a whim and was so impressed. Its is claustrophobic and cleverly made so the tension never drops. The action sequences never repeat themselves so its never gets boring. I was so impressed by the acting and the plot. One of the best and one of the most unheard of horror zombie films out there.

A zombie-virus outbreak on a plane.

Lot's of action, gore, and laughs.

The zombies reminded me of the demons from Demons 1 & 2.

A great movie that really shows what you can do with a limited budget.

If you like Zombie movies check it out, it's a fun movie that has a high rewatch value.

Not much to add about this other than the first half of the film is a little over-long; can't see the point of this given that most of the characters are butchered half way through the movie. Only George A. Romero appears to be able to blend successful character affiliation with Zombie action (and of course social commentary) in my opinion. But this is not meant to be so refined!

Therefore, getting to the point! The last 45 minutes are excellent if you rate it on zombie action. Really enjoyable!

A gore fest of a film. As zombie films go this film has it all a story ok its not as polished as some movies but you have to watch it all the way to see if they get down.

Pretty good scenarios of what you would expect of a typical zombie movie with a few jokes here and there thrown in. Some stuff is slightly over rated and not very realistic like the security guard with a prisoner on board!? Also the pilot who seems like he should be from the naked gun as the way he is just reminds me of leslie nielsen as im sure you would agree with me if you have already seen this film. Overall the film is quite good and i would reccomend to all zombie fans to buy/ watch it.
