Out of all of the musicians that I've ever come across, I'd have to say Aziz Ibrahim has got to be the most under-rated of them all. In my opinion, he is a world class guitarist and a catchy lyric writer. He might not have the look to suit the mainstream image of a guitarist. His music also strays away from the traditional sounds of pop music, it is very working class in its origins and Asian music plays a heavy influence on his songs too.
I always thought their was more of a niche for Aziz's style but it seems to be a case of lack of exposure which has cast this album 'Lahore to Longisght' into the pop music wilderness. For any working class British-Asian who is interested contemporary guitar music, this album is especially for you.
