A story in 3 parts, 3 locations, the film maker takes you inside Iraq shortly after the invasion. Beautifully shot with an outstanding audio track - documentary does not get much better than this.

I must admit that I like a documentaries that are entertaining as well as intelligent and informative. I just found this film so incredibly dull. It probably was beautifully and artistically shot and was clever and poignant. But if it was it passed me by and I can't remember a thing about it now.

An unusual documentary by a very courageous filmmaker - Longley did almost everything down to the music on this work and you can feel how close he gets to ordinary Iraqis with this minimalist approach. The portraits of the boys at work are masterful. But the most impressive "fragment" is the one that shows the influence of Shia fundamentalists in the South. Seldom has a film brought home just how fanatical and uncompromising the atmosphere was in parts of war-torn Iraq just before it became impossible for independent filmmakers to work there.

I really enjoyed the doc. The cinematography was beautiful and warm. I agree with the other reviewer that the best feature about this film was the fact that only the people in the doc was talking instead of being interviewed. With the voice overs it felt like you were watching a film as you couldn't help but feel that the camera seemed invisible.
