Interesting collection of Leiber& Stoller compositions. I purchased this CD as I am interested in music writing, studio production and the technical side of studio production.
Great sound reproduction on the hi fi . These tunes sound as fresh today as they must have all those decades ago.
Quiet a few cheesy numbers but I really bought this CD as I am a fan of these two prolific song writers. As expected from Ace records good remastering and informative liner notes.

Loses a star because of the bloody awful Jimmy Scott-a worse singer to my mind than Clyde Mcphatter. His version of On Broadway just makes you want to hear the Drifters again and is as bad as theirs was good. Its in the right place for the reject button as the Peggy Lee song is just that-a Peggy Lee song with little substance.
Good to have Richie Barrett's B side to Some other guy.
Somehow you don't associate Leiber/Stoller with the song Jackson
In the next decade they would do new stuff on the Coasters and with the U K band Stealers Wheel
