Excellent! Finally we get the Squeeze dvd we've all been waiting for - and it's definitely been worth the wait! Previous Squeeze dvd compilations have only featured videos from the 70's & 80's but this excellent dvd features all the latter promos missing from previous collections. The promos to "This Summer", "Loving You Tonight" and (especially) "Some Fantastic Place" are particularly good - but if that's not enough, you also get a bonus concert from 1982! It's also worth mentioning that the dvd menu & graphics are great and really well put together. Top marks to Universal for finally giving the Squeeze back-catalogue the recognition and attention it deserves. Thank you!

Highly recommended.

For the Squeeze fan, there are some real gems on here. If you're completely new to Squeeze or a more casual listener, you won't be disappointed either! Chris Difford's wonderfully crafted, observational lyrics will captivate you, and Glenn Tilbrook's musical hooks, tunes and guitar playing are just awesome! These two song writers have got to be considered amongst the best. 'Difford and Tilbrook' write fantastic songs - listen and enjoy!

If you've got "Squeeze Greatest Hits DVD" you've got about half of this one - but if you're a Squeeze fan you need the videos from the later years (a beautiful Some Fantastic Place, for example) and the live content from an '82 concert is well put together and a good reminder of what a great live band Squeeze were (and hopefully are to be later in 2007!). Wonderful sing along and (dare I say it) air guitar music.

The biggest problem I have with this package is that the first 17 videos are taken directly from the previous, flawed VHS release. Several videos are played at the wrong speed, a couple fade in late and "Footprints" still has that glitch in the middle. The 5.1 mix is nice to have but only seems to apply to the later videos. Most disappointing is that the set is incomplete. Not included are "Christmas Day" and "Everything in the World" plus alternate versions of "Cool for Cats" and "Tempted."

The concert is edited too, missing "Cool for Cats" from the beginning and a fragment of "Tempted" from the end.

But I'm being a fussbudget. The videos are all in one place, the concert is great and the 5.1 mix is nice to have, especially on the newer videos.

And for what it's worth the set does seem to be region free, and mastered in NTSC.

Anyone who enjoys Squeeze's great history of music, will love this DVD ! The quality is excellent ( taking into consideration some of the dates of the source material ) including 2 channel stereo and a 5.1 surround track for each video. The live concert clips, however, seem to be monophonic. The first few sets of videos somewhat blend together with an animated bumper in between, the end videos, do not. Overall, it's a great DVD to add to your collection ! Also, the DVD plays fine here in the U.S.A... region 1 player ! Enjoy !!

Good to have all the videos on one dvd, and can annoy my kids even more than I alreadydowith every album I have by this great and truly wonderful group of guys. Am privileged to have met them at several concerts over the years and have Glen new album before it was released.

Arrived promptly. Quite dissapointed that only part of the concert at the Regal was on the DVD instead of the whole gig.

Perfect English pop, hadn't seen most of these videos before, nor seen them live, so delighted to have all of this @ a ridiculously low price!

This DVD, companion to the recently released Essential Squeeze hits package, compiles (most) of the promotional videos that Deptford's finest released between 1978 - 96. Whilst the songs of Chris Difford & Glenn Tilbrook have aged beautifully, visually there are some terrifically corny moments and decidedly dodgy fashion and hair disasters.
When these videos are good they are great - 'Hourglass' is a brilliant Ade Edmonson directed mix of clever photography, smart effects and lashings of humour (it won an MTV video award). 'This Summer' features the band and actor John Thompson larking around on the seafront and having a great old time, 'Last Time Forever' is a dark story lead short which is creepily effective and 'Another Nail For My Heart' gives Jools Holland his first 3 minutes of fame mugging for the camera. 'Black Coffee In Bed' - with the band caked in makeup and looking acutely embarrassed - is truly horrible and dated beyond imagination.
The 1982 BBC live concert is impressive but suffers from too many 'Sweets From A Stranger' tracks - not Squeeze's finest moment.
Great to finally see a UK release for the Play promo's 'Satisfied' & 'Sunday Street' and the often overlooked Paul Carrack sung 'Loving You Tonight' - but why no 'Electric Trains' ?
