Steve's first recording, with his band in Scandinavia. The template is set for the glories which follow. Steve's writing, playing and singing is never less than engaging throughout and the energy of the band propels the music into the middle of next week. Fantastic.

Excellent Seasick Steve album, up to his very high standards.

Brilliant brilliant CD! As a new convert to Seasick Steve after seeing him on Jules Holland show can't rate this character high enough - a mixture of rough and ready hobo and blues with his own distinctive sound - different but sheer magic!

This is much more like it. A really bluesy laid back album what you should play at full blast in the car. Just make sure you're parked up as foot tapping etc. is required. Right, so the sound quality is a bit suspect, but whinging about that is missing the whole point of the album and the musicians behind it. This is laid back feel good music and if you want recording that shows technical brilliance go elsewhere. If you want to listen to a fun album with a smile pasted across your face then this is for you. Enjoy.

I think this is the first album from Steve and isn't as 'polished' as later ones, it has a couple of talking tracks so isn't really suitable for parties but good to play to when you can listen to it properly
