This is a beautiful set, it contains Holy Mountain, El Topo, Fando Y Lis and a short film by Alejandro. It also contains two soundtrack CD's, one for Holy Mountain and one for El Topo as well as some great documentaries. Holy Mountain and El Topo both come with deleted scenes and feature-length commentary; there are also some beautiful art cards included in the box. The only thing this set is missing is Santa Sangre. It's a shame because Santa Sangre is a masterpiece; I assume Tartan couldn't get the rights to it, or some other legal matter prevented it from being included.

So basically this set is essential to any fan of Jodorowsky, but the lack of Santa Sangre makes it feel somewhat incomplete. There is a region free version of Santa Sangre available from Severin Films, should you wish to complete the great Jodorowsky Quadrilogy. It should also be noted that Fando Y Lis was thought to be lost for 30 years and was only recently (relative to the set's release) discovered and added to the boxset.

Disc 1: El Topo - Excellent transfer

Disc 2: Holy mountain - Not as good, but still great transfer

Disc 3: Fando y Lis - pretty poor transfer

Disc 4: Constellation Jodorowsky, La - 90 minute Documentry 1994 - good transfer

Disc 5: Remastered El topo Soundtrack

Disc 6: Remastered Holy Mountain Soundtrack

In addition El Topo, was a magnificent movie, and gave birth to the midnight movie, along with films like Eraserhead and Pink Flamingos, so if your into "wierd", but wonderful cinema, this boxset is a must have

Extras include

El Topo:

Feature-length Jodorowsky Audio Commentary

Jodorowsky on El Topo

Original theatrical trailer

Holy Mountain:

Feature-length Jodorowsky Audio Commentary

Restoration featurette

'The Tarot' featurette

Deleted Scenes with Jodorowsky Audio Commentary

Original theatrical trailer

Fando and Lis:

Feature-length Jodorowsky Audio Commentary

Jodorowsky's rare 1957 short La Cravatte (21 mins, Colour, no dialogue)

Restoration featurettes for both Fando & Lis and La Cravatte

Also an interesting part in the documentry, which talks about how he came so cloe to making Dune

This really is a superb collection. The films are beautifully restored and the package design is very pretty and stylish.

It's a 100% must-have for any Jodorowsky fan. 5 stars.

I bought the US version of this box set, but they did a poor job with it. There's no Sante Sangre (is it in the UK box)? The sound is poor and seems to be out of sync (at least on Fado y Lis). And they letterboxed Fando Y Lis, not to mention they didn't do a very good job at restoring it. Can someone give a more detailed review for this, so I can tell whether I should get rid of my US version & get this?
