WARNING THIS IS NOT NEW MATERIAL FROM ANT HAM - THIS IS A COLLECTION OF RECORDINGS DONE BEFORE HE WAS SIGNED WITH SO SO DEF RECORDS, MUCH LIKE HIS SOULLIFE ALBUM.

This is more of the same from the great singer Anthony Hamilton. Theres nothing you have not heard before, but his voice can make a mediocre song good. I have to say his voice does not have as much variety in these recordings as ain't nobody worrying, but certainly give the album a go if you want to listen to raw, gritty, bluesy soul music by the most unique singer in the business.

IT WAS DISSAPOINTING BECAUSE I THOUGHT THIS WAS A RELEASE OF NEW MATERIAL

I know this is an album of older, previously unrelesed material, therefore a couple of the tracks sound a lil dated. None the less, this is another excellent album from Anthony Hamilton that manages to be both socially conscious ("Don't say what you won't do") and deeply personaly ("Glad you called")

Given the currant musical climate of R n B music, I, (being in my later twenties!!) think this album is more suited to "older" listeners, as I feel younger fans of this genre may not fully appreciate it.

That being said, I may be a lil biased, as I love everything Mr. Hamiton does!!

A belated Big up to So So Def for giving this man a much deserved record deal.

(He still reminds of the late Dino Conner from H-Town thugh, RIP)

Anthony Hamilton is the major "Soul Singer" of the 21st centuary, his voice epitimises soul, I now have all his albums and each one is either great at worst and brilliant at best, as his voice will make any song sound good so it depends on the quality of songs. This album although not his best still as at least 3 standout songs. Its a album that was not initially realeased and when his fame grew it was in 2007.It has more uptempo songs than normal but most have a funky organ type of groove which make them interesting and then there are some ballads with his voice a sort of caramel/chocolate texture, you know what i mean, buy this and if you like it buy all his others.
