This is the second series of the wonderful US drama Everwood, and it fully maintains the high quality & class of the first series.
Everwood is the story of Dr Andy Brown (Treat Williams) and how he and his family settle from New York in to small town America. The solid drama, so expertly crafted during season 1, continues in to season 2 as the family finally get accepted by the folk of Everwood. Marcia Cross (formally of Melrose Place and recently Desperate Housewives-fame) arrives however to mix things up as Linda Abbott and former 'good girl' Amy (the classy Emily VanCamp) spirals in to depression, while Ephram (Gregory Smith) starts to move on with his life following repeated rejections from Amy. The guest star quota's increase though, with the arrival and appearance of Betty White (of 'The Golden Girls'), James Earl Jones and also Beau Bridges.
Laughter is never very far away though, which is great as some of the storyline's are quite fraught including teenage drinking, depression, HIV and adultery.
Season 2 moves Everwood from strength to strength and is simply wonderful and classily underplayed by a truely first rate cast - a definate must have for any fan of quality US TV.
This series is even better than the first one. Disappointing that the following series are not available yet on dvd. Love everyone's acting and great storyline. Very educational to today's teenagers as well.
