Very entertaining for a young child.

These are very entertaining for a young child. My year old granddaughter enjoys removing the top, tipping all the pieces out and then putting them back in - but not through the holes in the top. If there's another little container to hand, she will take the pieces out of this and put in the other. And then back again. And any other small toy that's near enough. With the lid on, and encouragement, she can quite easily put the round pieces in the circular hole. It's not so easy for her to get the other shapes to go through their matching holes, and she hasn't quite grasped the concept yet, but at this age she seems to be learning something new every day, and I'm sure it won't be long before she achieves this. Meanwhile, she's getting a lot of fun out of it anyway.
There are so many electronic toys on the market now, and she has a lot of them, but I would say my granddaughter spends more time playing with simple toys like this.
